José González & Logic1000 // Heartbeats

Everybody knows the original version of Jose Gonzalez Heartbeats but this remix by Logic1000 takes it to a really cool place..

To mark 20 years of Veneer, José González has launched a three-part remix series reimagining some of his most iconic songs. The series began with Bibio’s rework of “Crosses” and now continues with a powerful reinterpretation of “Heartbeats” by Berlin-based producer Logic1000.

This remix takes José’s beloved acoustic cover of The Knife’s 2002 classic and reimagines it through a contemporary electronic lens — blending Logic1000’s signature UK bass and garage-influenced sound with the original’s haunting vocal and melodic core.

The official video was created by Pete Sharp, the Berlin-based designer/illustrator known for his work on Scavengers Reign, who brings his signature blend of sci-fi surrealism and hand-drawn detail to the project.
